Benefits of the Zebra CS3000 Companion Barcode Scanner
Barcode Southwest recommends the Zebra CS3000 companion scanner for two important reasons.
- The first reason is its cost-effective mobile scanning capability.
- Second, this scanner has an easy to implement 1-D scanning capability.
Zebra CS3000 Mobile Scanning Capability
This portable scanner is a mighty mite.
- To begin with, it boasts a compact size of 3.41″ (L) X 1.95″ (W).
- Secondly, the CS3000 weighs in (including batteries) at 2.45 ounces.
- Finally, this compact scanner can fit in a pocket or be attached to a lanyard.
1-D Scanning Capability
The Zebra CS3000 companion scanner works with 1-D barcode images. A 1-D barcode is also called a Universal Product Code (UPC) and is linear in design. These barcodes represent product information with black parallel bars and a sequence of numbers. A UPC code consists of 12 assigned numeric digits that gives each product a unique identifier. The product information within the code can contain 8-15 descriptive characters.
There are three more scanning features to note.
- First is the ability to capture codes both near contact and as far away as 45″.
- Second, the Zebra CS3000 will scan images in virtually any lighting conditions.
- Finally, is the capability to add a time/date stamp to batch scans.
This scanner has the ability to capture damaged or poor quality barcodes as easily as crisp, clean barcodes.
