The TSC TTP-286MT (203 dpi) has the ability to print as a thermal transfer OR direct thermal printer.
As a note: This printer is also available in the 384MT which features 300 dpi. The 384MT is also fuctions as a thermal transfer OR direct thermal printer.

Increased Productivity
Increased productivity is the first of the TSC TTP 286MT features.
Label/Ribbon Capacities
- To begin with, the TTP 286MT barcode printer supports an 8″ OD full label roll capacity.
- Secondly, the 286MT AND 384MT printers both support media (label) widths ranging from 4″ to 8.5″.
- As a last feature, productivity is increased with a ribbon roll length up to 1,968′ on a one-inch core.
Print Speed
This printer series wastes no valuable production time. The 286 and 384MT printers are available in both thermal transfer and direct thermal. The 384MT prints at a slower print speed because the dots are smaller but the quality is much higher.
- The 286MT has a print speed of 6 inches per second.
- The 384MT prints at 4 inches per second.
The User Friendly TTP-286MT
The second key feature of the TTP-286MT industrial printer is that it is user-friendly.
First, the large (4.3″) color touch LCD panel has a 6-button control. The display allows for quick and easy printer set up and job status checks. The display allows you to customize the menu bringing common tasks (such as the type of gap sensor) to the front screen.
Second, featured in the inside cover of all TSC label printers are media (label and ribbon) loading guides. The user-friendly guide increases production time by eliminating media loading errors.

- The first option is a regular guillotine cutter for label stock.
- The second option is a heavy duty guillotine cutter for tag stock.
